Cheryl Pachak-Brooks

Cheryl Pachak-Brooks, NCTM, is an Instructor Emerita of Music at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU), where she served on the faculty for nearly four decades. Since joining ENMU in 1985, she has been a dedicated educator in applied piano and class piano, as well as a prolific collaborative artist.

A prominent leader in the music teaching community, Cheryl has served on the National Board of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) as Secretary/Treasurer and was honored as an MTNA Foundation Fellow. At the state level, she served as President of the Professional Music Teachers of New Mexico (PMTNM) from 1998 to 2002.

Cheryl holds a Master of Music from Eastern New Mexico University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Colorado. In recognition of her service to students and the university, she received the 2016 Presidential Award for Excellence in Service at ENMU.
